League Suspends Castro and Vashisth for Brawl Wednesday, June 19th , 2058 Fernando Castro of the Ho Chi Minh City Explorers and Guruvayur Vashisth of the Shanghai Catbirds will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 4 and 9 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Explorers-Catbirds game at Field of the Prairie Dogs. Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Castro and Vashisth will begin serving them soon. This year Castro is hitting .379 with 6 home runs and 25 RBIs in 58 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .434 with 19 walks and 37 runs scored. To date this year Vashisth has fashioned a 2.13 ERA over 63.1 innings with a 5-2 record. He has made 14 relief appearances with 50 strikeouts and 3 saves. |
