Ho Chi Minh City-Kuala Lumpur Free-for-All Gets 4-Game Suspensions Saturday, September 16th , 2051 Tempers were flaring yesterday at Field of the Prairie Dogs. Both the Explorers and Koalas were defending their turf. A few punches were thrown, but fortunately very few landed -- there was more wrestling than fighting. When the umpires sorted everything out, Ho Chi Minh City's Dani Sánchez and Kuala Lumpur's Carmine Boccherini were ejected from the game. Today the league office suspended Sánchez and Boccherini for 4 games each. This season Sánchez is batting .265 with 67 hits, 6 home runs, 39 RBIs, .340 OBP and has scored 45 runs. In 23 relief appearances this year, Boccherini has thrown 58.1 innings, struck out 38 and collected 11 saves. His won-lost record is 1-6 with a 6.33 ERA. |
