The victory advanced the Avengers to the World Series. For his superb play in the series, Avengers first baseman Enrique Gómez garnered the series MVP trophy, hitting .417, scoring 10 runs and batting in 13. "Only thing better than getting MVP for winning in the playoffs would be winning MVP for winning in the World Series," Gómez said later. "I'll get to work on that." The Bangkok Avengers will play against the Yungho Frenzy in the next round. Yungho won their series against the Okawa River Kings 4 games to 2.
