Bad News for Watson and Port Elizabeth Sunday, September 8th , 2058 Windies starting pitcher Jim Watson has suffered a setback in his rehabilitation for a herniated disc. He was expected to finish treatment soon and rejoin the team slightly ahead of schedule. Doctors reevaluated him after he felt severe pain in a recent workout. The preliminary examination revealed more damage and is worse than the first injury. Anonymous sources in Port Elizabeth told BNN Jim Watson would be absent from the roster quite a bit longer than originally diagnosed. He would now have to miss at least 4 days. This season Watson has compiled a 1-1 record with a 3.06 ERA in 0 starts. |
