Shirai Throws 18-0 Shutout Tuesday, August 6th , 2058 Satoshi Shirai of the Pretoria Rhinos shut out the Mogadishu Ports 18-0 at Pretoria Field today, holding them to 4 hits with 2 walks and 10 strikeouts. Pressed for comments on his club's defeat, Mogadishu skipper Manuel Sánchez called the outing from Shirai "a jewel." "The way Shirai was pitching, it would have been tough for anyone to beat him," he said. To date this season Shirai has compiled a 7-8 record with a 3.23 ERA in 20 starts.
