 | Bad Behavior Costs Muñóz and Ardizzone Monday, June 20th, 2044 After an intense confrontation, both the Diamonds Carlos Muñóz and the Islanders Virgile Ardizzone were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Nairobi-Casablanca game. Carlos Muñóz will miss 4 games, while Virgile Ardizzone was suspended for 8 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Carlos Muñóz commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." In his season totals Muñóz has 17 home runs and a .227 batting average. So far this year Ardizzone has made 10 relief appearances with no saves, thrown 23 innings and struck out 29 with a 2-1 record. |   |
