Román's 21-Game Hitting Streak Ends Sunday, June 13th , 2049 The Impalers stopped António Román's 21-game hitting streak today at Ballpark of Bucharest, but they couldn't stop the Tripoli Piranhas, falling by the score of 4-2. Román didn't get a hit for the first time in weeks, finishing 0-for-4. "It's just as well," Piranhas manager Matthis Descoteaux said. "We couldn't spend the whole season going out of our way not to jinx him." This season Román is batting .346 with 85 hits, 14 home runs, 42 RBIs, .391 OBP and has scored 40 runs. |
