Miranda's 20-Game Hit Streak Ends
Saturday, February 5th , 2056
It was the best of both worlds for the Caribbean Sunbirds today at Havana Park, as they defeated the Central America Conquistadors 5-4 and also snapped Juan Miranda's 20-game hitting streak. The 18-year-old Central America right fielder failed to get a hit in 4 at-bats.

"Nothing personal against Miranda, we just wanted to win the game," said Sunbirds skipper Robert Morris. "We did a great job keeping him off-balance and guessing."

When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Miranda frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about it, but I'd feel much better if we had won."

In the current season, Miranda has put up a .364 batting average with 48 hits, 9 home runs, 29 runs batted in and scored 34 runs.
