Kim Crashes 3 HR Against Munich Tuesday, February 21st , 2051 Today was a special one for Manchu Kim of the Rome Gladiators as he slammed three home runs in the 12-2 win over the Munich Red Baron. "Lately, I've been uppercutting the ball too much," he said to sportswriters after the game. "I would hit it hard, but they just went sky high and stayed in the ballpark. No big long outs for me in this game. I leveled out my swing and connected on the sweet spot. I knew they were gone the minute I hit 'em." The Rome right fielder collected 4 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 4, and scored 3 runs in the contest at The Coliseum. Manchu Kim hit a solo-shot off Ross Waterhouse in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Ross Waterhouse in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Kahutea Akahele in the 6th and singled in the 7th. Kim is hitting .227 this season with 22 home runs, 46 RBIs and 33 runs scored. He has 35 hits in 154 at-bats. |
