Hot Springs's Ortega Collects August Batting Honor Sunday, September 1st , 2058 Jorge Ortega made his presence known as one of the best young stars in the Sub League 2 this past month. The Hot Springs Gators left fielder shined through the month of August and has won the Batter of the Month award. The 22-year-old hit .452 with 5 home runs, 21 RBIs and 14 runs scored. So far this year in 45 games Ortega is hitting .336 with 9 home runs, 31 RBIs and 26 runs scored. |
