Miguel Román Sidelined for 6 Months Wednesday, August 28th , 2058 Injuries are something every team has to deal with. That fact struck home for the Pirates when after today's game against the Cigars, the club found out they would be without the services of Miguel Román for at least 6 months. After the game, his manager said of the incident, "You hate to lose anyone to injury. That's always a negative." Román was injured earlier today throwing a pitch and suffered a torn labrum. So far this season Román has a record of 8-4 with 94 strikeouts and 18 walks in 100.1 innings and a 2.42 ERA. |
