Kingston Halts Wadden's Hitting Steak Thursday, August 22nd , 2058 The streak has been snapped. Sonny Wadden failed to get a hit in today's game against the Kingston Legends, bringing his 20-game hitting spree to an end. The 20-year-old Havana catcher was 0-for-3, but the Cigars got the win and defeated the Legends 10-0. "I'm not disappointed at all -- I had a great run," Wadden said. "I got to 20 games. I got my name into an elite group with a bunch of good ballplayers. What's there to complain about?" For the season, Wadden is hitting at a .337 clip with 12 home runs, 61 RBIs and has scored 48 runs. He has 87 hits, 35 walks and a .407 on-base percentage. |
