Wadden Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games Tuesday, August 20th , 2058 Sonny Wadden, catcher for the Havana Cigars, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 2 hits in his club's 7-6 victory today over the Cat Island Pirates at Castro Field today. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Sonny Wadden struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Jaime Hernández in the 7th and walked in the 9th. In the 2058 season Wadden is hitting .341 with 12 home runs. |
