Year Over for Sea Turtles González Monday, August 5th , 2058 The doctors have spoken and Mauro González of the Santo Domingo Sea Turtles didn't like what he heard. The 23-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. González sustained his season-ending injury during the San Juan Music game yesterday at Scouts Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Santo Domingo medical staff reported González had an arthritic elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months. To date he has nailed down 0 saves for his club. In no relief appearances, González has 77 strikeouts in 74.2 innings with a 2.89 ERA and a 2-3 mark. |
