Carter Touches All Bases, Hits for Cycle Saturday, August 3rd , 2058 Most fans have never seen a player hit for the cycle, and most players have never done it -- but it happened today at Hogg Pound. George Carter of the Daytona Beach Cruisers accomplished the feat against Port of Spain Royales. Carter went 4-for-5 with 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run in the 8-5 Daytona Beach victory. "That was one for the grandkids, am I right?" Carter said after the game. Carter also scored 2 runs and had 4 RBI in a day to remember for both Carter and the crowd at Hogg Pound. George Carter hit a solo-shot off Yun Gan in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, tripled in the 6th and struck out in the 8th.
