Nassau Loses Chuk-yan Ow-Yang, Will Miss Season Wednesday, July 24th , 2058 The doctors have spoken and Chuk-yan Ow-Yang of the Nassau Jammers didn't like what he heard. The 21-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Ow-Yang sustained his season-ending injury during the Coco Cay Anglers game yesterday at Jammers Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Nassau medical staff reported Ow-Yang had a torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 6 months. Over the season, Ow-Yang has made 12 relief appearances with 1 save. He has K'd 7 batters in 9.2 innings, yielded 7 walks and has a 3.72 ERA. Ow-Yang's record this year is 0-2. |
