Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl
Tuesday, July 16th , 2058
If there wasn't a history between Juan Reed of Paraiso and John Thomas of Caracas, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 3 and 7 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today.
"We're both really competitive," Reed said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it."
This season Reed is hitting at a .380 pace with 2 home runs, 14 RBIs and has scored 16 times.
In 5 starts this season Thomas has fashioned a 2-2 record and a 3.57 ERA.
