Great Stroke: bin Kaliq Gets 5 Hits Saturday, June 29th , 2058 La Paz center fielder Awad bin Kaliq had a big day at The Vault today against the George Town Palms. The 21-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-5 and led the Toppers to a 9-4 triumph over George Town. "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," bin Kaliq said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Awad bin Kaliq hit a solo-shot off Keith Rogan in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit a three-run double in the 4th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
