Red-Hot Converse Scorches Green Sox Monday, August 20th , 2057 Hermosillo first baseman Andy Converse added his name to the record books with a 6-hit spree at Aqua Field today, but found his special moment spoiled when the San Pedro de Macoris Green Sox took a shootout win over the Naranjeros. "I would have much preferred getting only a couple of hits and winning the game," he confessed to reporters afterward. "It's hard to go back into the clubhouse and celebrate a 6-hit game when you also lost." Naranjeros manager Oliver Vásquez called Converse's game "a once-in-a-lifetime moment." "It's a shame the guy can't really enjoy it," the skipper said. "It's also a shame what happened with our pitching today, but at least that we can try to fix." Andy Converse singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Robinson Peña in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
