Nintendo Halts Quintero's Hitting Steak Thursday, January 19th , 2062 Wal-Mart Stars left fielder Manuel Quintero finally met his Waterloo. A 33-game hitting spree is now history after Quintero was unable to make anything happen in 3 at-bats today against the Nintendo Bros.. Fortunately for Quintero and the Stars, the rest of his team had enough in their bats to win the game, 7-5. "We're a true team here," he said. "For 33 games I've been able to contribute, but I always believed these guys would take care of things if I couldn't some day." At present, Quintero is batting .429 and has collected 2 home runs, 16 RBIs, .515 OBP and scored 19 runs. |
