Great Year Gets Lopera BGL Alberto Guzman Batter Award Saturday, April 13th , 2058 Juan Lopera took High School All-Star Teams by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 15. For his spectacular campaign, the Intelligrated Tigers star has been named the 2058 Bill Gates League Alberto Guzman Batter Award recipient. "To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the left fielder. On the season he compiled a .447 batting average to go with a .508 on-base percentage. The native of Whitehall, Ohio also added 9 doubles, no triples, 15 home runs, 49 RBIs and 41 runs scored. He received 48 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Paul Brune of the Campbells Reds finished second in voting, while Luis Morris of the Intelligrated Tigers finished third.
