Machines Win Round 2 Saturday, March 9th , 2058 The IBM Machines are heading to the Round 3, having narrowly defeated the General Electric Capitals. IBM edged General Electric in the series 4-3, with a win at Ballpark of Huntington Beach HS in the clinching game by a 6-5 margin. Juan Morán turned in a strong offensive performance for the Machines and got series MVP for his efforts. "I'll never turn down another trophy for my mantle, another accomplishment to remember once my career is over," he said. "What I would really remember, though, is a Round 4 win." It remains to be seen how the playoffs will conclude, but if Morán continues to swing a hot bat, his team will no doubt have a chance. For the series, he hit .423 with a .483 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, 2 RBI and scored 3 runs. The IBM Machines will play against the Intelligrated Tigers in the next round. Intelligrated won their series against the Ford Motors 4 games to 2.
