Capitals Prevail, as Round 1 Goes to the Wire Wednesday, February 27th , 2058 General Electric Capitals won a nail-biting series against the Boeing Flyers 4-3, wrapping up the Round 1 finale 8-7 at Ballpark of Huntington Beach HS. Capitals second baseman Dani Barrios was named the series MVP. He batted .387, drove in 2 runs and scored 9 to lead General Electric into the next round of play. "Dani was real solid for us, real solid," said Capitals manager Salvador Escobar. "I normally say I'd like to have nine of him out there, but thankfully we got by with just one this time." The General Electric Capitals will play against the IBM Machines in the next round. IBM won their series against the Firestone Fires 4 games to 0.
