Machines Cruise to Round 2 with Sweep Saturday, February 23rd , 2058 The Firestone Fires were simply overmatched by the IBM Machines in the Round 1. The end result was a sweep, as IBM has cruised to the Round 2, with the final win coming at Ballpark of Fort Wayne HS by a score of 7-3. "We're clicking and running on all cylinders at the moment," said Pat Witcher, who was named MVP of the Round 1. "We're a dangerous team when we play like this." For the series, Witcher hit .467 with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 4 runs. The IBM Machines don't know who they will face in the next round.
