Wilkins Has 20-Game Hitting Streak Tuesday, February 12th , 2058 The Texaco Stars fell to the Pillsbury Doughboys in Fissures Ballpark today, even as 16-year-old third baseman Bob Wilkins upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games. Wilkins finished with 1 hit in 4 at-bats, but could not stop the Stars from dropping the 9-5 decision. "Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Wilkins. Bob Wilkins grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, struck out in the 6th and walked in the 8th. Wilkins is currently batting .319 with 4 home runs and 28 RBIs. |
