League Suspends Fordham and Briggs for Fisticuffs Monday, February 11th , 2058 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's McDonalds-Home Depot contest at Ions Ballpark. The Big Macs Jason Fordham and the Hammers Gregg Briggs will have to sit out 3 and 7 games respectively for their parts in the brawl. This season Fordham is batting .187 with 15 RBIs, 12 runs scored and no home runs. To this point in the season, Briggs has put up these figures: 2-1 record, 18 relief appearances with 32 innings, 1 save, 30 strikeouts, 25 walks and a 7.31 ERA. He has limited other teams to a .338 batting average. |
