Season-Ending Injury for Germán Stern
Saturday, February 9th , 2058
The doctors have spoken and Germán Stern of the A2O Contracting didn't like what he heard. The 16-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Stern sustained his season-ending injury during the IBM Machines game yesterday at Ballpark of Toledo HS. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the A2O medical staff reported Stern had a bone spur in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 5 months.

To this point in the season, Stern has put up these figures: 1-2 record, 11 relief appearances with 11 innings, no saves, 7 strikeouts, 17 walks and a 11.45 ERA. He has limited other teams to a .380 batting average.
