Big Day for Anderson: Swats 5 Hits Sunday, February 3rd , 2058 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-6 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Tom Anderson, it came around today. The 16-year-old catcher scattered hits all over Mayhem Ballpark to pace the Wal-Mart Stars to a 20-6 victory over the USS Steel. USS skipper Wei-qiang Hann told reporters in the press room that "Anderson deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Anderson hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Tom Anderson singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Seth Weller in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Seth Weller in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and struck out in the 7th.
