Doughboys Cruise to Round 3 with Sweep Monday, March 5th , 2057 The Pillsbury Doughboys appear poised to make a serious run at the Round 4 after a convincing sweep over the Adobe Acrobats in the Round 2. It's now on to the Round 3 for Pillsbury, who won the final game 6-5 and took the series 4-0. "Everyone's doing their part and things are falling into place," said Pillsbury shortstop Jesse Sanders, who was named series MVP. "It feels like a special year." For the series, Sanders hit .500 with a .571 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 8 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Pillsbury Doughboys don't know who they will face in the next round.
