Playoffs Won't Happen for 57s Thursday, February 15th , 2057 It's a "gut-wrenching feeling," Heinz 57s shortstop Johnny Lazer said, for the team to have gotten so close to a playoff berth, only to be eliminated in the waning days of the season. The club was officially eliminated from the postseason chase today. Before this season, the 57s last missed the playoffs in 2055. In the 60 years they have been a High School All-Star Teams franchise, they have made the playoffs 17 times. In the last 10 seasons, the 57s have missed the playoffs 6 times. Heinz has won the Round 4 2 times in their history. |
