Meatheads Out of Playoff Race Thursday, February 15th , 2057 Members of the Publix Meatheads are left wondering what could have been today, as the team has been eliminated from postseason contention. "You look back at a handful of games that easily could have gone the other way for us," said reliever Donovan Brumbaugh. "We really think we were good enough to get to the playoffs this year, so it stings." The Meatheads have missed the playoffs 17 times in their 23 years as a High School All-Star Teams franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 3rd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2054. In the last 10 seasons, the Meatheads have made the playoffs 2 times. Publix last won the Round 4 in 2035. |
