Gousto 5-for-5 Against Stars Monday, January 24th , 2056 Even as a kid, Máximo Gousto said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At Salty Dogs Ballpark today, Gousto showed how well he learned that lesson. The 15-year-old second baseman had 5 hits in 5 at-bats for the Merrill Lynch Bulls, helping his team knock off the Wal-Mart Stars by a score of 13-2. "They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did today." Máximo Gousto doubled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 5th, hit a three-run double in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
