Staples Advance to Round 2 Saturday, March 9th , 2058 The Staples Staples and Coca-Cola Splash hooked up in a classic Round 1 that went right down to the wire. In the end, it's Staples heading off to the Round 2, after a 6-2 win at Chesapeake College Fields tonight earned the 4-3 series win. Outside Chesapeake College Fields, whether they were supporters of Staples or Coca-Cola, many fans talked about how it was a series they would never forget. Steve Lindberg played the hero for the Staples in the series, as his MVP performance included a .464 batting average, with a .531 on-base percentage. He also had 1 home runs, 4 RBI and scored 8 runs. The Staples Staples will play against the AmGen Chemists in the next round. AmGen won their series against the U.S. Army Black Knights 4 games to 1.
