Mellon League Selects February's Best Batter Friday, March 1st , 2058 John Harris is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the U.S. Coast Guard first baseman joined that select company when the Mellon League announced the results of February's voting. Harris totaled 39 hits, 25 walks, 11 home runs, 39 RBIs and 36 runs scored last month to put together a .470 batting average and .593 on-base percentage. In 50 games this year Harris has posted a .397 average and put up these numbers: 19 home runs, 71 RBIs and 56 runs scored. |
