Avilés Wins RCK Player of the Week Trophy Monday, February 25th , 2058 Alfredo Avilés of the Gulf Oil Drillers was locked in all week as he bullied the pitchers he faced. Avilés put up some great numbers and hauled in the Rockefeller League Player of the Week trophy. He hit .435 with 4 home runs and 13 RBIs. The 18-year-old third baseman also scored 6 runs and for the week went 10-for-23. Avilés is batting .364 this year with 10 home runs, 39 RBIs and 34 runs scored. He has 64 hits in 176 at-bats. |
