Hit Parade: Cruz Pops 5 Hits Sunday, February 17th , 2058 There was no storybook ending. Casimiro Cruz of the Chevron Gold socked it to the visiting Google Searchers with a terrific 5-hit game today, but his team didn't get the win. The Gold fell, 17-11, at Doobie Kings Ballpark. "I don't want to sound ungrateful, but something is missing here," Cruz complained following the loss. "When you have a great game you should win the game, too." He definitely had an unforgettable day in the batter's box, ripping out 5 hits in 5 at-bats. Chevron manager Ángel Torres sympathized with his right fielder, telling BNN reporters after the game that "Casimiro played a whale of a game, but sometimes individual brilliance is not enough." Casimiro Cruz doubled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, tripled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th. In his stats this season, Cruz has posted a batting average of .346 with 66 hits in 191 at-bats, 5 home runs and 23 RBIs. He has also scored 37 runs, walked 15 times and compiled a .396 OBP.
