Boyd Collects Cycle Tuesday, February 12th , 2058 The Lincoln Continentals were too much for the Aflac Ducks today, taking a 14-8 win despite the batting heroics of Aflac center fielder Shannon Boyd. In a losing effort, Boyd had a monster game, hitting for the cycle. He collected 4 hits in 5 at-bats with 2 runs batted in. After the game, Boyd said he was "unfazed" by the outcome. "Look, it's baseball," he said. "Best case scenario, you're still going to lose 40 percent of the time. You can't let it get to you." Shannon Boyd doubled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, walked in the 5th, singled in the 6th, tripled in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Chad Hoffman in the 9th.
