MLN Top Pitcher for January Picked Friday, February 1st , 2058 Sotatsu Kobayashi was ecstatic to win January's Mellon League Pitcher of the Month honors today. The 21-year-old Best Buy pitcher thanked fans, his coaches and the voters for the honor -- despite the fact that he deserved much of the credit himself. Kobayashi's star burned bright last month as he made 13 relief appearances, notching 7 saves and 22 strikeouts in 16 innings. He held opposing hitters to a .130 average to put up his 2-0 mark and 1.69 ERA. |
