Gillette Loses José Díaz for Season Wednesday, January 30th , 2058 José Díaz has to call it a season. The Gillette Razors reliever sustained a season-ending injury against the General Mills Lucky Charms and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Díaz was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a stretched elbow ligament and stated that he would not be able to play for 9 months. Díaz has taken the mound for 12 relief appearances this season, nailing down 3 saves while notching a 2-1 record with a 3.60 ERA. The Gillette reliever has limited opposing batters to a .237 batting average. |
