U.S. Coast Guard's Martínez Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Sunday, January 27th , 2058 Augusto Martínez had an answer for everything the Burger King Whoppers threw at him today at Capital Territory Ballpark. The U.S. Coast Guard shortstop went 5-for-6 in the game to put his name in the record book and put the Bears on top, 16-10. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Martínez said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." Augusto Martínez singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and tripled in the 7th.
