3M Snaps Ray's Streak at 24 Saturday, January 26th , 2058 The 3M Miners did something to Lorenzo Ray no team had done for the last 24 games -- they stopped him, ending his consecutive-game hitting streak. Unfortunately, they couldn't do the same to the Chemists, who came away with the 4-0 victory at Ballpark of Stearns College. "Hey, I knew it wasn't going to last forever," the 18-year-old first baseman said of the demise of his streak. "It was a good ride while it lasted." To date this season Ray is hitting .389 with 9 home runs. |
