Continentals Díaz Out Rest Of Season Friday, January 11th , 2058 The doctors have spoken and Iván Díaz of the Lincoln Continentals didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old first baseman is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Díaz sustained his season-ending injury during the Kellogg Tigers game yesterday at Cyclones Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while colliding with a player at a base. Today the Lincoln medical staff reported Díaz had a torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4 months. This year Díaz is hitting .286 with 1 home run and 1 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .500 clip and scored 1 run. |
