Players Suspended in X-Sox-Drillers Donnybrook Sunday, February 25th , 2057 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Microsoft-Gulf Oil contest at Anchorage College Grounds. The X-Sox José Montoya and the Drillers Matthew Orr will have to sit out 4 and 9 games respectively for their parts in the brawl. Presently Montoya is batting .347 with 59 hits and 12 home runs. He has knocked in 35 runs and scored 35 times. Running the numbers on Orr for the year, he has made 24 relief appearances, recorded 2 saves and compiled a 0-5 won-lost mark with a 7.61 ERA. In pitching 36.2 innings, he has totaled 47 strikeouts and 32 walks. |
