Gillette's Gant to Miss Season Sunday, February 25th , 2057 The Gillette Razors learned that Paul Gant is likely to be out for 8-9 months after he injured himself running the bases in today's game against the Chevron Gold. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be a torn posterior cruciate ligament. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Gillette manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Paul is back in action." Gant's current batting average stands at .220 and he has chalked up 1 home run and 7 RBIs. |
