Sydney Moves on to Round 4 Monday, March 17th , 2053 When the entire season comes down to one game, Vincente Méndez said you find out what a team is really about. As it turns out, the Sydney Wallabies are made of fight and tenacity, as the team got by the Mumbai Tigers 7-3 tonight at Tigers Den in order to win the Victory Bell and book a place in the next round. "It wasn't hard to get excited for this game," said Méndez, whose strong offensive output earned him MVP honors. "Our guys answered the call and proved a lot about what our team is all about." Méndez hit .318 with a .400 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Sydney Wallabies will play against the Auckland Black Sox in the next round.
