Takimoto Terrific, Takes HL Frank Moore Batter Award
Wednesday, September 25th , 2058
At the age of 19, Isoruko Takimoto of the Port Arthur Pythons could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2058 was good enough to win the second baseman the Horizon League Frank Moore Batter Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .309 batting average this year, as well as a .404 on-base percentage. He played 67 games and racked up 73 hits, 21 doubles, 5 triples, 11 home runs, 40 RBIs and 39 runs scored.
He received 17 first place votes out of a possible 32. Pepe Gonzáles of the Alamogordo Road Runners finished second in voting with 8 first place votes, while Rusty Harmon of the Chestermere Lunkers finished third with 4 first place votes.
