Pacheco Wins Award for HL Dominance Friday, September 20th , 2058 Fernando Pacheco was a calming influence out of the Berkeley Golden Bears bullpen this season. His teammates and manager said he had a poised demeanor about him that was typical of someone much older and more experienced. His poise has paid off, as the 16-year-old turned in a sparkling season and has been named the winner of the Horizon League Reliever of the Year Award for 2058. The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native won the award with 16 saves in 32 relief appearances, 50 strikeouts in 59 innings and a record of 1-1 to go with his 1.37 ERA. He received 26 first place votes out of a possible 32. Todd Boland of the Cheyenne Bulls finished second in voting with 5 first place votes, while Vincente Hernández of the Port Arthur Pythons finished third.
