Atoms Advance to Round 3 Tuesday, September 3rd , 2058 The Albany Atoms took time to celebrate with the Albany fans who stuck around after the game, following the team's Round 2 triumph over the Bartlett Jazz. Members of the Atoms hung around chatting, high-fiving and taking pictures with the Albany fans in attendance at Ballpark of Minneapolis, long after the last pitch had been thrown in their 4-3 win to seal the series 4-2. "We've got great fan support," said center fielder Nestor Saatsakis. "Whether we're at home or on the road, the fans support us. So we wanted to show them how important that is to us. Some Bartlett fans that were there even congratulated us on the win." For the series, Saatsakis hit .586 with a .600 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, 11 RBI and scored 9 runs. Things weren't so cordial on the Jazz side of things. Their clubhouse was closed to media after the game and all players and coaches quickly dressed and left the stadium after the end to their season. The Albany Atoms will play against the Alamogordo Road Runners in the next round. Alamogordo won their series against the Chestermere Lunkers 4 games to 1.
