Hit Streak Over, Fighting Artichokes Stop Harmon
Tuesday, August 13th , 2058
Chestermere left fielder Rusty Harmon came into today's game against the Castroville Fighting Artichokes on a hot streak. He left on a cold one.

The Fighting Artichokes did their jobs well, beating the Chestermere Lunkers 1-0 and holding Harmon hitless to snap his 28-game hitting streak. The 17-year-old left fielder had a few words to say after finishing 0-for-2, telling reporters only that he "came up short."

"What Rusty did was exciting and quite an achievement," said Lunkers manager Bilbo Baggins. "It's tough enough to get one hit in this league, much less go 28 games in a row. I'm even more proud of the way he handled the press coverage. He never let the frenzy get to him or affect his play."

In 64 games this season Harmon has batted at a .364 pace with 87 hits and 1 home run.
