Fighting Artichokes Come up Short of Playoffs Saturday, August 10th , 2058 The Castroville Fighting Artichokes will soon be packing their bags and heading home for the year. The 2058 season won't involve a playoff run for the club, as Castroville was mathematically eliminated from playoff contention today. The Fighting Artichokes have made the playoffs 6 times in their 62 years as a Spike Nolan League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 8th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2050. In the last 10 seasons, the Fighting Artichokes have only made the playoffs once. |
